Hazards Checklist: Dog hazards to remove from the home

Objects, Chemicals, Plants, Food, Medicine, Areas

Created by Jennifer Gravrok

Before bringing your assistance dog, or any dog, into your home, you need to make sure that your home is safe for a dog.

Even well behaved dogs will be curious when they move to a new home, so make sure your home is safe for them. This includes making sure areas of your home are safe, hazardous objects are picked up and put away, toxic plants are inaccessible, and that you know toxic foods, chemicals and medicines for dogs.

Download the Hazards Checklist below to make sure your home is safe for your dog. See the document below before downloading.

Please download the Hazards Checklist below (images above) so you can print and use it in your home.
