The Author

Jennifer Gravrok has been studying and working with various assistance dog organizations, clients, and assistance dogs since 2016. She completed her PhD in December 2019 at La Trobe University where she studied the benefits and challenges that first-time assistance dog handlers experienced when working with their first assistance dog. During this time, she also volunteered with a couple of assistance dog organizations. Since then, she has worked for two assistance dog organizations in the United States, where she works predominantly with clients and teaching them to how to be successful with an assistance dog.
